General FAQs

Q: How do I get there?


A: Festival access can be made on foot via an entrance in the Codicote Sports field driveway or by car via an entrance on Bury Lane, Codicote, Herts, SG4 8XY.

The nearest mainline station with regular fast trains to London, Peterborough and Cambridge is Stevenage which is situated

approximately five miles away from the festival site. There is a taxi rank outside Stevenage station on Lytton Way.


Limited parking will also be available onsite (please note - our car park is being run by local scout group and will be at a small charge which will go to the group entirely).


Gates to the car park and camping areas will be open at from 3pm on Friday and 11.00am both Saturday and Sunday. 

Q: Will children be able to enter for free?
A: Children under the age of 6 are not required to pay for an entry ticket but also with a responsible adult at all times. 
All children under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult for both the festival and camping. 
Q: What food and drink will be available at the festival?
A: We will have a fully licenced bar where you can purchase drinks throughout the event. There will also be several food vendors and craft stalls! From buttermilk fried chicken and stone bake pizzas to curry, crepes and ice cream - we have it all! 

Q: Can I bring my own alcohol?

A: No outside alcohol can be brought onto the festival site. We have a fully licensed bar available throughout the event. Our security team may confiscate any outside alcohol found on site or entering the site during the festival weekend.  

Q: Can I bring my dog?

A: Unfortunately the festival site is a dog free zone, apart from guide dogs, sorry pooches! 

Q: Is Goatfest a cash only event? Is there a cash machine available onsite?
A: Goatfest is a cash only event. Some food and craft vendors may accept card but this is not guaranteed  The bar, and ticket gat is cash only. 
There is no ATM / cashpoint onsite. The nearest cashpoint is in Codicote village shop, Mace Stores. This is on Codicote high street - about a 10-15 minute walk from the festival. Security will allow you re-entry to the festival if you need to withdraw cash.
